Matthew J. Ryan, age 51,of Goshen entered into rest Thursday, July 26, 2007 at home.
Mr. Ryan was born December 29, 1955 in New York, NY the son of Vincent Ryan and Donna Rummel Ryan. He was married to Ilona Bogyos Nona Ryan

Matthew graduated from Clark University with a Bachelors Degree and Stony Brook University receiving his Masters Degree. He was a Teacher at East Meadow School District, who was awarded the Teacher of the Year Award from East Meadow School District for 2004-05 school year. A Special Education Teacher for 24 years. He had wonderful patience with those with special needs. He enjoyed gardening and following sports, he was a life long Yankee and Giant fan and a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church.


He is survived by his wife, Nona Ryan at home; parents, Vincent and Donna Ryan of Babylon, NY; son, Luke Ryan at home (a Senior at Chester High School); stepsons, Preston and Garret Windus of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Sarah Ryan at home (a senior at Boston University); brothers, John and wife Connie of Brooklyn, NY, Timothy and wife Tina of Toyoko, Japan and Michael and wife Regina of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Kathleen and husband Max Felder of New York, NY; sister-in-law Barbara Lyons and husband Dave of Goshen, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2007 from 7:00 9:00 pm and Saturday, July 28, 2007 from 12:00 2:00 p.m. at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen.
